How fresh is the data?
We refresh the Google Business Profile scrape weekly. Every record shows its last_scraped_at timestamp via the API. Rating and review counts are typically updated the same day we run a refresh.
Where does the data come from?
Public sources: Google Business Profile, Companies House, UK Food Standards Agency register. We don't scrape social networks or personal data. Everything is B2B data about registered businesses.
Is it GDPR compliant to use this data for cold outreach?
Under UK GDPR, B2B contact data from public sources can lawfully be processed under the legitimate-interest basis for direct marketing. You remain the controller of how you use the data you export from Siftra — make sure your cold emails follow PECR (soft-opt-in, clear opt-out, sender identity).
Do prices include VAT?
Prices shown (£29/£49/£79) are the Stripe-charged amounts. Bloor Engineering Ltd is below the UK VAT threshold so VAT is not currently added. If we register for VAT we'll notify subscribers at least 30 days before any price change.
Do I get a VAT invoice?
Every payment via Stripe generates a downloadable PDF invoice showing Bloor Engineering Ltd (company 14230472), the amount, and your own company billing details. Grab it from the email Stripe sends after payment, or from your Siftra dashboard.
Can I cancel at any time?
Yes. Cancel from your dashboard, takes effect at the end of your current billing period. No cancellation fees, no exit interview.
Do you offer refunds?
If Siftra is materially broken within 14 days of your first payment, email george@bloorengineering.com and we'll refund in full. Outside 14 days we don't offer refunds, but you can cancel any time and keep access until the period ends.
Is there a free trial?
Free tier gives you 20 searches per day, 5 results per search, with phone/email/website redacted. Enough to see the quality. No credit card required. Upgrade any time from £29/mo.
What's the difference between the tiers?
Starter (£29/mo) — 200 searches/day, 5 CSV exports of up to 100 records each. Pro (£49/mo) — 1,000 searches/day, 20 exports of 500, REST API access. Agency (£79/mo) — 10,000 searches/day, unlimited exports up to 2,000 rows each, priority support.
How does CSV export work?
Run a search → click Export. You get a CSV with name, category, city, postcode, address, phone, email, website, Google rating and review count for the rows in that search (up to your tier's per-export cap).
Is there an API?
Yes, available on Pro and Agency tiers. Generate an API key from your dashboard, then hit /api/search with a Bearer token. Rate limits match your plan's daily search quota.
My business shouldn't be listed — how do I get removed?
Do you sell or share customer data?
No. We never sell or share your account data. Payment processing goes through Stripe. Hosting is on Vercel (frontend) and Hetzner (backend + Postgres database, Germany). Transactional email via Resend. See the Privacy Policy for the full list.
How is Siftra different from Apollo / Cognism / Lusha?
UK-only, no seat minimums, pay monthly with no contract, VAT invoice included, priced for solo operators and small agencies (£29 vs $49+ elsewhere). Narrower scope, simpler pricing, faster support.
Can I pay annually?
Not yet. We'll enable annual billing with a discount once we have more customers to validate which tier is most common. Email us if annual would change your buying decision.
